<p>MANILA — The Phoenix Fuel Masters have acquired one of the promising young wing men in the PBA.</p><p>Following his release from the Rain or Shine ElastoPainters, incoming sophomore Francis Escandor will now be playing for Phoenix, the team announced Tuesday.</p><iframe class="instagram-media instagram-media-rendered" id="instagram-embed-0" src="https://www.instagram.com/p/DM83DWtI3Zv/embed/?cr=1&amp;v=14&amp;wp=675&amp;rd=https%3A%2F%2Fod2-workbench-web.abs-cbn.com&amp;rp=%2F#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A4414322.400000036%7D" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="879" data-instgrm-payload-id="instagram-media-payload-0" scrolling="no" style="background:white;max-width:540px;width:calc(100% - 2px);border-radius:3px;border:1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219);box-shadow:none;display:block;margin:0px 0px 12px;min-width:326px;padding:0px"></iframe><script async="" src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js"></script><p>“Join us in officially welcoming the newest member of Phoenix,” they wrote.</p><p>The 6-foot-2, 26-year-old Escandor is a UAAP champion with De La Salle University, and the Season 49 Draft’s 13th overall pick will now be looking to spread his wings with the Fuel Masters after only seeing limited action with the E-Painters.</p><p>Escandor appeared in six games for RoS in the Season 49 Philippine Cup, averaging 1.83 points and 1.17 rebounds in over nine minutes of action.</p><p>The Davao native, alongside veteran Mark Borboran, were the two players that Rain or Shine released after the recently-concluded All-Filipino conference.</p><p>He will now be looking to provide more versatility for the Fuel Masters who only had eight wins in 33 total games throughout the three conferences.</p><p>On the other hand, RoS signed PBA champion and prolific scorer Stanley Pringle to add more firepower as they started retooling their roster this offseason.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/basketball/2025/7/15/pba-rain-or-shine-signs-stanley-pringle-to-two-year-deal-1130">READ: Rain or Shine signs Stanley Pringle to two-year deal</a></div>
