Photo from PBA Images.</div>MANILA (UPDATED) — Scottie Thompson delivered a monster performance as Barangay Ginebra San Miguel evened its PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup semifinals series with the San Miguel Beermen at two wins apiece.The Gin Kings turned the matchup into a virtual best-of-three affair after a 105-91 victory in Game 4 on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, with Thompson erupting for 35 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.&quot;It was a good night for me, but we just fought hard and battled every quarter,&quot; said the former MVP, who not only posted a career-high in scoring but also became the first local in 36 years to record a 30-point triple-double.The last local player to record the feat was PBA legend and current Ginebra deputy coach Johnny Abarrientos in 1993.&quot;Nakuha namin yung rhythm namin as a team, and yun ang pinaka-importante,&quot; added Thompson, whose playmaking helped four other teammates finish in double figures.Japeth Aguilar tallied 14 points, six rebounds, and a block, while Norbert Torres knocked down timely three-pointers to score 13. Jayson David and RJ Abarrientos chipped in 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Gin Kings, who erased a 16-point deficit.Ginebra will look to reclaim the series lead in Game 5 on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.In that contest, the Gin Kings will aim to replicate the poise they showed down the stretch in Game 4, with Thompson&#x27;s fingerprints all over the endgame.Only an 84-83 game with under eight minutes remaining, the former University of Perpetual Help standout ignited a personal seven-to-nothing surge to put Ginebra ahead, 91-83, at the 5:38 mark.David and Abarrientos also made timely contributions as the Gin Kings extended their lead to double digits, but the biggest moment came when Aguilar threw down a slam off a Thompson assist for a 101-88 cushion, effectively sealing the win with under three minutes left.For San Miguel, CJ Perez led the way with 22 points, three rebounds, and three assists, though he also committed four turnovers.
