Stefan Wisnoski, Riot Games</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>The journey continues for Southeast Asian squad Paper Rex after winning the close do-or-die match in the Swiss stage of VALORANT Masters Toronto against Team Liquid, 2-1, and qualifying for the playoffs.</p><p>The W Gaming squad will round out the cast of the playoff stage after completing the reverse sweep against the EMEA squad.</p><p>In Split, The Calvary had the initial lead by taking the pistol, anti-eco, and bonus rounds. PRX eventually broke the streak by taking the four following rounds and then four more rounds after a Liquid win to end the half at 8-4.</p><p>Liquid took back control of the map at the second half and forced overtime after taking four straight maps as PRX was about to cross the finish line.</p><p>PRX managed to force the tie at the end of regulation, but the second overtime went the way of Liquid and concluded at 13-15.</p><p>Sunset saw the two teams trade leads in the first half, but PRX eventually gained the upper hand at the end at 7-5.</p><p>The streak continued for PRX in the second half and did not give Liquid a breather to take the map at 13-5 and force the decider.</p><p>The PRX train chugged on to Lotus and Liquid could not stop the streak as the first half ended at 11-1.</p><p>In a twist of fate, Liquid began to make a major comeback by forcing another overtime in the series, but PRX managed to hold back the tide and complete the map and series.</p><p>With the win, PRX will join their fellow VCT Pacific representatives, Gen.G and RRQ, in the playoff stage.
