Photo from UAAP Media.MANILA — Far Eastern University will be defending its cheerdance competition crown against its fellow UAAP institutions, who are promising to spice things up in the Season 87 festivities.</div>The defending champions, who ruled Season 86 with their Super Mario-themed performance, will be hoping to retain the title in Morayta with their routine that is inspired by Disney’s Frozen.“As far as defending is concerned, ‘di kami talaga nag fo-focus doon,’ said FEU Cheering Squad coach Randell San Gregorio, who put a premium on perfecting their act on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena above all.“Focus namin is to hit the routine. That&#x27;s the only premise needed. Kung panalo, thank you, kung hindi, okay lang din, basta buo yung run ng team para sulit yung pinagharapan for the past six to eight months.”“Siyempre, we only do this once a year, at walang bawi to eh, like the other sports na may next game. Dito, next year na yung next game. Every year bago, so kung mabubuo, may chance, kung hindi, mas less yung chance. Basically, kailangan lang mabuo yung routine,” he continued.Coming for FEU’s crown is last year’s second-placers National University which is boasting its Outer Space-themed routine.“Last year was a transition kasi coming from the old coaches and now having the team, yung changes na ginawa namin was we trained early talaga for this,” said second-year head coach NU Pep Squad Gabriel Bajacan.“We saw already kung ano yung mga mistakes na nagawa namin last year, and from that, talagang sinulat namin yun para alam namin kung ano kailangang improvement.”Opening Sunday’s event is Ateneo de Manila University and the Blue Eagles’ performance will be following the theme of the origin of the universe.Following them is the University of the East which will have a Sexbomb-inspired routine, and No.3 is the University of Santo Tomas Salinggawi Dance Troupe and their “Batang 90’s”-themed performance.Fourth is the Adamson University Pep Squad and their routine that will feature a karaoke medley, and the University of the Philippines Varsity Pep Squad, which will perform at No.5, was secretive on what they will be showcasing but teased that it will heat the competition.No.6 is NU, seventh is the De La Salle University Animo Squad and their chess-based theme, and last is FEU.There will be eight judges who will be seeing the competition on Sunday which starts at 2:00 p.m. Four will focus on the cheering side, while the other four will be overseeing the dance side. <div>RELATED VIDEO: <script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAEyze-tm4MR6kEa&amp;cid=ABQ-TkMmKITzz6fD&amp;activation=click&amp;vip_mode=playing&amp;vip_position=bottom-right"></script></div>
