MANILA -- After racking up back-to-back wins via submission, all eyes will be on Jeremy Pacatiw when he returns to the ONE Championship stage next month at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

At ONE Fight Night 28 on February 8, "The Juggernaut" will be up against Dagestani wrestler Ibragim Dauev in a fight between two on-the-rise bantamweights.

Against Dauev, Pacatiw expects his ground game to be put to the test.

While the Filipino fighter wants his performance to do the talking, he is also confident about his skills -- especially after his two previous wins that only fueled his desire to keep improving.

"The confidence in my ground game is certainly growing. That's because we're working on every detail, the smallest details in jiu-jitsu," he said.

Pacatiw has emerged as one of the busiest students of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Gibran Langbayan, competing in various grappling competitions to sharpen his mastery of the art. Under Langbayan, Pacatiw not only improved his skill set, but also discarded old habits that were holding him back.

"There are a lot of things I've unlearned and learned. It's a process. I'm excited where I'll end up in my journey in jiu jitsu," he said.

"I'm happy that I'm getting to compete outside of MMA. From gi competitions, no-gi submission grappling, everything. It's easier because someone's guiding you."

But while Pacatiw would be happy to get his third-straight submission win, it's not his ultimate goal for this fight. Instead, he wants to prove that he can adapt, adjust, and excel wherever the fight ends up.

"What I want to prove in this fight is that I can compete wherever this fight goes," said Pacatiw.

"That I have the presence of mind to adjust whatever happens in this fight. It's really important because this sport is a game of adjustments. It's a game of plan-Bs, and that's what I want to show."
