Carrion previously said Yulo is the country&#x27;s best chance to bag gold in the competition.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/othersports/2025/11/23/eldrew-yulo-clinches-floor-exercise-bronze-in-junior-world-championships-1546">READ: Eldrew Yulo clinches floor exercise bronze in Junior World Championships</a></div><p>&quot;I know I&#x27;m supposed to be happy because we have third place. But you know me, I like the color gold. But next time. We still have the vault and we still have the high bar,&quot; she told reporters after the floor exercise finals.</p><p>Carrion said she asked Yulo&#x27;s therapist to stay one more day to give him treatment. </p><p>&quot;He stayed overnight taking care of Eldrew&#x27;s foot but it still hurts. So he really could not [stick his landing]. He had to skip,&quot; she said. </p><p>The GAP President believes Yulo&#x27;s right ankle injury affected his chances at gold, but she remains hopeful the 17-year-old can still deliver in his last two events.</p><p>&quot;Well vault again is foot eh. I think maybe the high bar because there&#x27;s no footwork. I hope by tomorrow his foot will be better. Let&#x27;s hope. Because when you do the vault, you really jump high and you have to stick [the landing],&quot; Carrion said.</p><p>Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Patrick Gregorio said he saw flashes of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo in Eldrew. </p><p>&quot;I was telling President [Morinari] Watanabe, this is a Carlos Yulo 2.0 in Paris now in Manila. But [it&#x27;s] a great start for our young boy Eldrew. Let&#x27;s not forget he&#x27;s still very young. This is a [junior] world championship, he&#x27;s up against the best in the world,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;You can just imagine in 2025, in 2026, in 2027 and then we reach that Los Angeles,&quot; Gregorio said. </p><p>The PSC chief vowed to throw support for the Yulo brothers in their journey to LA 2028.</p><p>&quot;We will go all out, we see the talent. We see that Carlos is still young, Eldrew is very very young. I think we can all look forward to Los Angeles and then Brisbane. That is very good for Philippine sports and for all of us. Inspirasyon na sila,&quot; Gregorio said.</p><p>FIG President Morinari Watanabe was in high spirits after Yulo&#x27;s bronze medal finish. </p><p>&quot;I cried [when Carlos won]. I&#x27;m very happy. Now I was able to again witness history. His brother also has strong luck.
