UAAP Media</div>MANILA — They still can&#x27;t quite believe it, but the National University (NU) Pep Squad made history on Saturday afternoon.The Bulldogs snagged a record-breaking ninth crown in the UAAP Cheerdance Competition after dominating this year&#x27;s edition of the contest at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.National U coach Gab Bajacan was overwhelmed right after the school surpassed established programs University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad and University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe in terms of overall titles, with the latter having eight titles each -- though their last crowns came awhile ago.Salinggawi last topped the podium in 2006, while the UP Pep Squad&#x27;s last title came in 2012. And &#x27;di kami makapaniwala na kami &#x27;yung coaches na naitalaga for NU, to bring history sa kanila,&quot; he went on.&quot;We&#x27;re very grateful sa previous coaches and the present coaches na patuloy talagang pinapatibay &#x27;yung programa ng NU Pep Squad.&quot;There&#x27;s no stopping them in reaching greater heights as Bajacan vowed to help the program improve further.&quot;Hindi kami [magiging] stagnant, kung ano&#x27;ng uso—we want to explore more, we want to create more for the community and for the sport,&quot; he said.The NU mentor admitted shock in the results, having a significant gap in the points from Adamson and FEU.&quot;Alam ko &#x27;yung mga teams ngayon, mahihirap na rin &#x27;yung ginagawang skills—they wanted talagang very difficult skills.
