Nonetheless, the referee&#x27;s judgment stood and the match ended in favor of Navarette via technical decision.</p><p>&quot;Alam nating lahat, na-mafia tayo sa Amerika,&quot; said former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis &#x27;Chavit&#x27; Singson, Suarez&#x27;s top backer, during a press conference on Sunday in Quezon City.</p><p>&quot;Akala ko wala ng mafia eh, pero nakita ng buong mundo nakita na walang headbutt. Dapat yun, siya ang talo. Sila ang nasugatan eh. Pero dineclare ng referee na headbutt,&quot; he added.</p><p>According to multiple reports, a hearing will be held on June 2 by the California State Athletic Commission, and it is expected that <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/othersports/2025/5/12/boxing-suarez-navarrete-bout-to-be-ruled-a-no-contest-report-1848">the match will be overturned as a no-contest</a>.</p><p>&quot;Tinanggal na nila [si Navarrete] sa 130kg para umakyat, at para &#x27;di siya tamaan nung desisyon,&quot; said Singson of this development. &quot;Ang sinasabi nila is no-contest. Nagrarason na lang sila, pero maliwanag na dinaya tayo doon. Sinuspend na raw yung referee, pero talo na tayo.&quot;</p><p>However, what Singson and the rest of Suarez&#x27;s camp want is for the CSAC to crown the Filipino as the rightful world champion.</p><p>&quot;Inaasahan nating lahat na mabaliktad yung desisyon, pero ang worst, ilalagay nilang no contest para hindi magkaroon ng bad record yung alaga nila,&quot; said Singson.</p><p>&quot;Hindi naman dapat hininto yun eh, pero alam nilang matatalo na. Overweight eh, so right then and there, tapos tinamaan pa. Alam na nilang matatalo si Navarrete eh, at alam nilang lamang sila sa scorecards.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Siguradong mananalo tayo kung tinuloy yun. At kung talagang may headbutt, dapat nagreklamo si Navarrete. Pero hindi nagreklamo eh, dahil hindi headbutt. Halatang daya yun,&quot; he added.</p><p>But regardless of what will be the CSAC&#x27;s decision, Singson emphasized that a rematch between the two fighters must be the next chapter of the saga.</p><p>&quot;Tinitignan namin kung anong next na laban ni Charly. Either dito para hindi na tayo madaya, or doon pero depende pa,&quot; he said. &quot;Gusto natin ng rematch, pero kung tinanggal nila sa 130kg eh paano magre-rematch? Tumaas na siya.&quot;</p><p>If Navarrete&#x27;s camp pushes through with their decision to move to a higher weight class, Singson added that while Suarez will continue his search to gain the WBO title, what they want for now is still getting a Part 2 of the said matchup.</p><p>&quot;Depende sa budget.
