Thomas Samson, AFP</div>LONDON -- Fresh off her breakthrough Grand Slam triumph at Roland Garros, Mirra Andreeva is chasing the feeling of winning all over again as she begins her Wimbledon campaign, but without placing extra pressure on herself.The 19-year-old World No. 5 admitted that lifting her French Open trophy left an unforgettable high that she hopes to experience once more.<div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/othersports/2026/6/6/tennis-andreeva-wins-first-grand-slam-title-at-french-open-2338">READ: Andreeva wins first Grand Slam title at French Open</a></div>&quot;Obviously the feelings I experienced after winning for the first day and a couple more days after that were incredible,&quot; Andreeva said ahead of Wimbledon. &quot;I really want to try and experience them again.&quot;&quot;So that&#x27;s kind of a little addiction that I think a lot of players have after winning. So that&#x27;s going to be my goal, to try and, I don&#x27;t know, repeat that and to experience those feelings again.&quot;Despite arriving at the All England Club as one of the tournament&#x27;s contenders, Andreeva said she is avoiding setting expectations for herself.&quot;I will try. I&#x27;m not going to set any expectations on myself because I feel like when I do that, sometimes it kind of goes downhill,&quot; she said. &quot;I&#x27;m just going to try to, I don&#x27;t know, set my focus on how I&#x27;m going to play every match that I get to play here.&quot;Andreeva was also asked about the unique trend at Wimbledon, where nine different women have won the singles title in the last nine editions. The Russian revealed she was unaware of the statistic and said it would not alter her mindset.&quot;To be fair, I didn&#x27;t know that statistic,&quot; she said. &quot;I wouldn&#x27;t say that knowing that something would change for me. It wouldn&#x27;t change how I approach practices or matches. I would just still try to focus on what I always focus on: try to do my best on the court, follow the game plan, fight and try to win matches.&quot;<div><iframe width="960" height="540" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZWD1950-ehE?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></div>While she could not explain why Wimbledon has produced a different champion each year, Andreeva believes the unpredictability makes the tournament even more exciting.&quot;I feel like that&#x27;s what makes it interesting because you never know who&#x27;s going to win,&quot; she said. &quot;Every year there could be a different champion. For me, it&#x27;s just very exciting.&quot;Beyond the competition, Andreeva said Wimbledon remains one of her favorite stops on tour because of its distinct atmosphere and traditions.&quot;I&#x27;m always super excited to come to London because it has that different vibe,&quot; she said.Andreeva added that arriving at the grounds before the crowds is one of her favorite Wimbledon experiences.&quot;It&#x27;s just very special to walk around the grounds while there is also not a lot of people,&quot; she said. &quot;You just get to walk around the courts and feel the atmosphere, see those amazing flowers all around the courts.&quot;&quot;I don&#x27;t know. It just has that different atmosphere. Very traditional tournament. I&#x27;m just always super excited and super happy to play here.&quot;
