It&#x27;s the same as today.”</p><p>”I played with three or four rookies. I understand that it&#x27;s a little more emotional and the pressure is bigger, but I&#x27;m so proud because when you look at the sets, it&#x27;s 15-16 [and so on]. Our team pushed La Salle a lot, La Salle needed to play hard,” he added.</p><p>But while Veloso challenges the remaining Ateneans to step up even more and show improvements, the most important thing for the Brazilian mentor is for his players to remain healthy and avoid any further injuries.  </p><p>“In my career, and I have more than 37 years in my career, this is the first time [that I experienced this,]” he said. “So this is so important. It&#x27;s not only for my players [in Ateneo]. When I was on the National team, I told my players: &#x27;You need to improve your technique. If you have good technique, and you want to play at a high level, these little things can make a big difference.”</p><p>“But my philosophy is first, to prevent, and you need to think of the players,” said Veloso. “You don’t push the player just because she can return or she can play, as she can sustain a lot of damage.”</p><p>“All the time, I think of the players. I think of prevention.
