The Lady Tamaraws recovered from their setbacks against University of the Philippines and National University with an impressive five-set triumph over Ateneo de Manila University, and this allowed them to move back to .500 at 2-2.

For FEU head coach Tina Salak, their five-set loss against the reigning champions — one which came after they led the Lady Bulldogs two sets to one — brought them lessons that helped them against the Blue Eagles.

Despite Ateneo coming off a season wherein they only won five of their 14 assignments, Petallo said that they avoided complacency, and that would also be the key if they want to sustain their success as the season progresses.
