Nangyari yung Seasons 86 and 87, na gusto naming makabawi, pero hindi namin nagawa under me as captain,” said Canino.The Lady Spikers bowed out in the Final Four to University of Santo Tomas in Season 86, just a year removed from their latest title.La Salle then returned to the Finals in Season 87, but Bella Belen and the Lady Bulldogs proved to be too much and went on to rule the tournament for the second straight year.And while those losses pushed Canino to do even better, the former Rookie of the Year-MVP instead leaned on controlling her emotions this season—an approach that has helped the Lady Spikers win 15 straight matches so far.“Now, I’m trying to be patient with myself and with my teammates, kasi yun ang magdadala samin,” she said. “Hindi lang skills, but kung paano dadalhin yung sarili namin para matapos nang maganda yung season na ‘to.”Canino and the Lady Spikers can complete the task on Saturday, May 9, at 5:00 p.m., still at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
