Sumulat siya dahil inaasahan niya umanong maaaring hindi na siya makauwi nang buhay sa pamilya.</p><p>&quot;Hello all. By the time this letter gets to you, things already happened and shall affect all of us as people and as Filipinos. This might be my last chance of communicating with you,&quot; saad niya sa bahagi ng kaniyang liham.</p><p>Nakaplano diumano ang assault noong Pebrero 23 kung saan may walong team na tig-apat na sundalo ang susugod sa Palasyo para dakpin ang unang pamilya.</p><p>&quot;We would be coming across the Pasig sa likod. We would cross by inflatable boats and then assault the Palace from the riverside. That was the plan and since I knew the routes inside the palace, my job would be to lead the assaulting element,&quot; pagdedetalye ni Morales ng kanilang operasyon. </p><p>Pero hapon ng Pebrero 22 ay nabisto ng diktador na si Ferdinand Marcos ang kanilang operasyon.</p><p>Nagsagawa ng emergency TV broadcast si Marcos at isinapubliko ang tangkang pagpatay sa kanila.</p><p>Nahuli ang tatlong miyembro ng Reform the Armed Forces Movement o RAM kung saan kabilang si Morales.</p><p>&quot;They were part of an aborted coup d&#x27;etat and assassination plot against the president and the first lady,&quot; pahayag ni Marcos.</p><p>Ang operasyon laban sa kaniya ay power grab diumano ng kaniyang noo&#x27;y Defense chief na si Juan Ponce Enrile at Defense chief of security na si Gringo Honasan. Totoo ang paratang ni Marcos sa kaniyang mga dating tauhan.
