Fact Check: ‘Di totoong bayad na ni Duterte ang lahat ng utang ng Pilipinas

BINAYARAN NA NI DUTERTE! KASO HINDI BINALITA NG ABS, GMA, RAPPLER.” </p><p>Maririnig sa video ang voice over o pagsasalaysay na ito: “Okay, bago po umalis si [Pangulong Rodrigo] Duterte or bago siya aalis ng kanyang termino sa pagkapangulo ay binayaran na niya ho ang 300 billion na utang sa central bank loan sa Pilipinas.”</p><p>Nagpakita rin si Mimaa sa video ng screenshot ng isang artikulo ng Manila Bulletin at nilapatan ito ng audio ng isang news report na parehong tungkol sa pagbabayad ng utang na ito ng gobyerno. </p><p>Pero ang totoo, ang P300 billion na sinasabi sa video na nabayarang utang umano ng gobyerno sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ay bahagi lamang ng domestic debt ng Pilipinas at hindi katumbas ng total outstanding National Government debt o kabuuang utang ng gobyerno.</p><p>Sa katunayan, nitong Enero, umabot sa P8.37 trillion ang domestic debt ng Pilipinas. Mas mataas ito kumpara noong Disyembre ng nakaraang taon, ayon sa inilabas na ulat ng Bureau of the Treasury noong Marso 4. </p><div><em>“NG domestic debt amounted to P8.37 trillion, which is P197.38 billion or 2.4% higher compared to the end-December 2021 level.
