Andrea Brillantes and Ricci Rivero are indeed two of the most popular personalities of this generation. They may have initially come from different fields – Andrea from showbiz, while Ricci from athletics – but the universe indeed has its wonderful way of intertwining their paths, and that is through love.While they’ve been rumored to be dating early this year after being sighted at same places by eagle-eyed onlookers, they only got to seal the deal when Andrea gave her sweet “yes” to the 24-year-old basketball player’s unique proposal to become his girlfriend.To those who have missed it, that controversial proposal happened after the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons, to which Ricci belongs to, defeated the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws in their game last April 9. He headed to the scorer’s table, borrowed the microphone, and announced the now famous line, “I just wanna ask Blythe to be my girlfriend.” This, of course, made her and the other people inside the venue kilig, especially when she grabbed the shirt with “Yes” written on it that was being held by one of their friends.Although their continuously blooming romance receive various reactions from people, they apparently just shrug all of those off and focus on whatever’s going on between them. They may not have talked about their relationship yet in any media interview, yet they’re still able to bring kilig to their fans by sharing a few updates on social media.Despite their busy schedules, the young couple makes sure to still find time to be with one another. Andrea watched her boyfriend’s basketball games and was even present when his team was hailed the champion of the UAAP Season 84 Men’s Basketball tournament. And a few days after their historic win, it’s Ricci’s turn to be his sweetheart’s cheerleader and “waterboy” when she took part in one of the female volleyball teams during the Star Magic All-star Games held also last May.Later that month, they shared photos of their trip to Siargao with some of their friends, wherein they didn’t only revel on its beauty, but also helped in the coastal cleanup after the island was severely devastated by Typhoon Odette in December 2021.They also amused their supporters with a Tiktok video of them together taking on the fun challenge “Who’s Most Likely To?”, which further gave us a glimpse of what they are like in their relationship.
