Alexa Ilacad, KD Estrada reveal what they love, want to change about each other

Just a few days before the month of love begins, one of this generation’s popular loveteams KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad have already spread kilig vibes as they graced the latest episode of PUSH Bets Live, wherein they gave us a few updates about their lives lately, responded to several questions about their tandem, and even played a fun and thrilling game!The first of their interview commenced in a little kumustahan, with the two imparting how they celebrated the holidays and what they gave to one another as a Christmas gift. KD went to South Korea with his family and gave Alexa a necklace. Meanwhile, she literally just took a break by staying at home and gave him a watch.Undoubtedly, 2022 had been a big year for them because that’s when their team-up, fondly called KDLex, was established after their remarkable stint in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbs10">Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10</a>. He may have been in the local entertainment scene since 2019, yet KD said that it was only last year when he started to become really busy with projects left and right. Thus, the most important thing that he learned from it is to be professional and to have good work ethics at all times.On the other hand, the events of 2022 have made Alexa realize the most important lesson of her life, that is she really can’t please everybody. “’Yon ‘yong greatest lesson ko kasi napansin ko na I’m always trying to please everyone. And sabi nga ni Ms. Karen Davila, trying to please everyone is the road to failure. So, ‘yon ‘yong tina-try kong hindi na gawin. Mas mindful na ako sa mga ginagawa ko.”And now that we’re in a brand-new year, both of them have already set their respective career goals. For KD, he would work on his acting a lot, since he had already done a couple of acting projects last year, namely, “Bola-Bola” and “Run To Me”, which will be succeeded by their forthcoming theater debut “Walang Aray” under PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association). Alexa, on the other hand, wishes to do heavy drama again and release new music at the same time. But she’s willing to accept whatever comes.Meanwhile, with regards to their goals as a loveteam, KD shared that they actually aim to improve their chemistry and synchronization when it comes to performing together, may it be in singing or acting. Alexa seconded it by divulging that it’s what they have been doing lately as they prepare for their first-ever musical play.When asked what they love about one another, the 20-year-old heartthrob said that it would be her being so talented as a musician, which not everyone probably doesn’t know about yet because she’s been acting ever since she was still a child star. The 22-year-old actress, on the other hand, expressed how much she loves everything about him because being with him reminds her of how blessed she is to have a supportive and caring partner, which makes work lighter.While they haven’t confirmed nor denied yet that they are already an item, KD described their relationship as “refreshing” as he finds it nice to have a great woman and partner like her by his side, who has been so supportive of him. He also tagged her as a great companion in and out of work as she helps him out whether in music, acting, or life in general. Meanwhile, Alexa described their relationship as “chill”.Even though it’s inevitable for people who spend time together often to get annoyed with one another sometimes, KDLex revealed that they don’t have anything to be pissed off about the other. Whenever they have misunderstandings, Alexa simply reminds herself that they’re two completely different individuals, so she couldn’t ask him to think or act the way he does. Meanwhile, KD wishes to change her perspective about herself and reminded her that she’s doing great and she’s already perfect just the way she is.The conversation then veered to “Walang Aray”, wherein they will play the role of Tenyong and Julia in the modern reimagination of the Filipino classic zarzuela “Walang Sugat” by Severino Reyes. It’s also set in the Spanish colonial times, but the twist is that the dialogues and the music used are all contemporary. The romantic comedy play will run for 12 shows, beginning on February 17 to May 14, 2023.With regards to the preparations, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/asap">ASAP Natin ‘To</a> Rockoustic Heartthrob said that they have mentally conditioning their minds and regularly attend rehearsals to practice their lines and songs. The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit">Goin’ Bulilit</a> alumna, meanwhile, goes to the gym every day to build her stamina, which could help her in singing, dancing, and acting. They also undergo voice lessons and just enjoy the company of the talented and gregarious ensemble.
