When Director Theodore “Ted” Boborol comes on set, he focuses on two missions – to bring the script to life and bring newcomers to stardom.The soul of his calling as a filmmaker is helping neophytes reach for their dreams. Direk Ted is certain he will achieve this purpose in Star Magic Studio’s maiden film venture “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/videos/watch-connected-full-trailer-330164">Connected</a>,” which features new love teams from <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbs10">Pinoy Big Brother Connect</a>, namely Kobie Brown and Andi Abaya, Ralph Malibunas and Gail Banawis, and Chico Alicaya and Amanda Zamora, together with Richard Juan.Blessed with a good eye for quality talents, Direk Ted sees overflowing potential in these newbies.These artists have diverse backgrounds and each of them has their own flavor. Direk Ted dubs Richard as the next Luis Manzano – funny and romantic.He sees Chico taking on the same route as Sam Milby, with the heartthrob appeal, accent, and all. Amanda, as seen in PBB, is the cute and funny gal. She reminds Direk Ted of Sandara Park’s ‘krung-krung’ but endearing brand of comedy.When he met Ralph, he was reminded of Marvin Agustin’s rom-com charm. He described Gail as unique and versatile, the next Mylene Dizon with a bonus talent in singing.He tagged Andi as “Jolina Magadangal meets Nora Aunor,” meaning she can be the next multimedia star. Lastly, he said Kobie’s peg is the teenage Gerald Anderson – eager to be good at acting.“<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/videos/watch-connected-full-trailer-330164">Connected</a>” will be streaming this July 22 on KTX, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV video-on-demand, and SKY Cable. The movie is directed by Theodore Boborol and written by Mary Rose Colindres.
