With her unmistakable beauty and impressive versatility, there’s absolutely no wonder that Sharlene San Pedro is among the most well-loved artists of her generation. In her 18 years in the local entertainment scene, she’s not only able to showcase her skills in acting, but in singing, dancing, and hosting as well. And now that her fans are excited to see her take on the new chapter of her career as she’s about to release new music soon, let’s look back on her shining moments through the years – from the time she started out as a promising child star up to now that she’s among the brightest stars in the country.Just like some of the stars we look up to at present, the 22-year-old actress’ ticket to the industry was by joining a reality talent search. In 2004, she joined Star Circle Quest Kids Edition 1 when she was only four years old and won 2nd place.In 2005, she became part of the kiddie gag show <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit" target="_blank">Goin’ Bulilit</a>, wherein she’s able to showcase her acting and comedic chops as one of its pioneers, and became popular as the impersonator of veteran journalist Korina Sanchez in the segment “Rated KKK: Handa Na Ba Ako?,” the parody of magazine rogram “Rated K”. In that same year, she also got cast in the sitcom “OK Fine Whatever” and in the primetime drama “Mga Anghel na Walang Langit”.Sharlene then went on to play the titular role Sarah Crewe in the live action TV adaptation of the classic Japanese anime series “Princess Sarah” in 2007. She also made an appearance in the action fantaserye “Pedro Penduko at ang mga Engkantao” that year. The following year, she amused us with her portrayal of Reyna Ungga-Ungga in the kiddie serye “Kung Fu Kids.” She then astounded us with her dramatic prowess through her appearances in some episodes of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/maalaalamokaya" target="_blank">Maalaala Mo Kaya</a>, such as in “Ice Cream&#x27;&#x27; as the young Jake Zyrus, in “T-shirt” as a young mom, in “Bracelet” as a cancer patient; as well as of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/wansapanataym" target="_blank">Wansapantaym</a>, namely &quot;Sabay-Sabay Pasaway&quot; (2011), &quot;Si Lulu at si Lili Liit&quot; (2014), and &quot;Susi Ni Sisay&quot;.In 2013, she was tapped to be part of the teen weekly sitcom <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/122127217-throwback-luv-u-2013-15082" target="_blank">LUV U</a>, playing the role of Shirley. Two years later, she became one of the supporting cast of the primetime fantasy drama <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/throwback-the-cast-of-nathaniel-2015-14602" target="_blank">Nathaniel</a> starring Marco Masa. It was also in 2015 when she appeared in the longest running television series <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/angprobinsyano" target="_blank">FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano</a> as the teen Glen Corpuz, the childhood best friend-turned-workmate of the titular character Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin).Sharlene once again starred in a teleserye when she was tapped to be among the supporting cast of the daytime drama <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/langitlupa/articles-photos/throwback-the-stars-of-langit-lupa-14820" target="_blank">Langit Lupa</a> [LINK OUT ] topbilled by child stars Xia Vigor and Yesha Camile, wherein her onscreen tandem with Jairus Aquino was truly admired.It was in 2016 when she pursued her singing career and became a MYX VJ up to 2019. Aside from these TV exposures, she was also able to snag projects on the big screen, such as “Must Be Love” (2013) and “Haunted Mansion” (2015).And this year, as we have mentioned earlier in this feature, Sharlene will be releasing her newest single titled “Running” this coming March 25, so you better watch out for it while waiting for her next acting project!
