Desiree del Valle is known today for her sultry and feisty roles. But once upon a time, in 1998, a sweet and young Desiree was launched as part of Star Magic Batch 7. She gained popularity after bagging the role of Corrinne in the original <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/major-throwback-the-cast-of-1999-tabing-ilog-in-22-photos-14274" target="_blank">Tabing Ilog</a> series. With drama as her strength, she was assigned to several teleseryes that honed her into the versatile and passionate actress she has become. Celebrating her 25 years with Star Magic, making her eligible to be one of recipients of the Star Magic Loyalty Award, Desiree looked back on her journey. In her speech, she recognized the people behind her enduring career including her very first acting coaches. If there’s one thing Desiree learned in her more than 2 decades in the industry, it’s that showbiz is a survival of the fittest. “And I’m very happy that I’m still here, hopefully, for as long as I can,” she reflected.
