Since its pilot, Kapamilya series The Broken Marriage Vow received raves and 'gigil.' Beyond the plot itself and the show being the Pinoy adaptation of a globally-known drama, the ensemble cast’s flawless acting in bone-chilling confrontations made the teleserye a huge phenomenon. Kapamilya Toplist rounded up the 10 best confrontation scenes from the series before its heart-shattering finale airs on our television screens tonight!

The first clip is dedicated to scorned women who still got blamed for their husband’s philandering. Jill had a double shock in this scene. First, she learned that her mother-in-law Marina (Susan Africa) knew about David (Zanjoe Marudo)’s affair all along. But the ultimate shock is Marina's audacity to still blame her.

Pushed to her limits, Jill gave her mother-in-law a slap of reality. She asked if Marina also hated herself when her husband left for another woman. Then Jill reminded Marina of all the big sacrifices she made for David and how she’s remained a devoted, hands-on wife while working as a doctor. Marina was left speechless, embarrassed.

Now we know where David got his arrogance. In the next scene, he demanded respect from the woman he betrayed. Jill pointed out that David has no right to ask for respect, and that everything he has belongs to her.

In another scene, David cried foul when Jill accused him of psychological incapacity. Turning the tables, he said Jill’s suicide attempt is proof she’s the insane one. In another, he accused her of kidnapping their son, which Jill simply laughed off.

The series also served a bit of action when David punched Charlie (Ketchup Eusbio) for his one-night stand with Jill. There’s also a confrontation between Jill and Enzo (Joem Bascon) when the latter harassed Gio. Later on, he tried to extort 10 million pesos from her in exchange for deleting Gio’s malicious video.

Meanwhile, Jill and Gio (Zaijian Jaranilla)’s confrontations are both infuriating and heartbreaking. He used to be Jill’s protector. But when manipulated by David, Gio started to hate his mother. He said all she ever does is stir conflict and he vowed to never go home to his mom again. At one point, Gio called his mom selfish and accused her of destroying David’s new family.

Between Jill and Lexy (Sue Ramirez), one of the feistiest is when the former dropped by the latter’s house to return the flowers David sent. Lexy didn’t want to believe that David sent the package yet Jill knew what her ex-husband’s capable of.

We also love Carol (Bianca Manalo)’s confrontational energy in the scene where she revealed Jill and David’s one-night stand to Lexy, who acted like her marriage is still under control. But in reality, it was getting wobbly at the time.
