After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, ABS-CBN Regional’s Kapamilya Karavan went to Cebu bringing the cast of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart" target="_blank">The Iron Heart</a> for the much-anticipated return of the Sinulog Festival, the feast dedicated to Sto Niño, yesterday, January 15. The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart" target="_blank">The Iron Heart</a> stars received warm welcome as they partied with a crowd of bright-smiled Cebuanos. It was also a way for Richard Gutierrez and his co-stars Sue Ramirez, Jake Cuenca, Sofia Andres, Pepe Herrera, Enzo Pineda, Manuel Chua, Meryll Soriano, and Albert Martinez to show appreciation to the loyal Kapamilya fans, especially the avid viewers of their teleserye, of which the plot is set entirely in the Queen City of the South. Apart from Cebu being their shooting location, the province is second home to Richard since it’s his mom Anabelle Rama’s hometown, and to Sofia, who has a child with Cebuano partner Daniel Miranda. Also spotted in the caravan are Richard and Sofia’s kids, Zion Gutierrez and Zoe Miranda, respectively, who charmed the crowd with their cuteness. After the parade, the artists entertained thousands of Kapamilyas with on-stage performances and treated them to selfies. The fans went wild as they finally saw their idols in person and mingled with them. To keep everyone energized, Sinulog Kapamilya Karavan 2023 also brought the current and former MOR DJs as hosts; and the Knapsack Dancers, formerly part of Kapamilya Mas Winner Ka Regional gameshow, as performers.
