While we admire them for the work they do as actors, singers, dancers, and/or hosts, have you ever wondered if being in front of the camera and/or onstage is something that our favorite celebrities have ever dreamt of?Well, six of our favorite celebrities opened up about the alternate careers they were supposed to pursue prior to making it to the entertainment industry during their respective interviews on “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/tonightwithboyabunda" target="_blank">Tonight With Boy Abunda</a>” over the past years, as featured in this TWBA Toplist. With how brilliant and versatile an actress she is, many have probably assumed that it has been Jodi Sta. Maria’s ambition to make it to showbiz. But the “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/lavenderfields" target="_blank">Lavender Fields</a>” star revealed to host Boy Abunda in 2017 that she was actually still holding on to her ambition of becoming a doctor, which she believes will happen at the right time. Apparently, earning a certificate as an &quot;acupuncture detoxification specialist” in 2018 and a degree in Psychology in 2021 are just two of her steps in attaining her ultimate dream career.Growing up watching “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit" target="_blank">Goin’ Bulilit</a>” was what inspired Seth Fedelin to aspire to work in front of the camera. However, the “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbgen112024" target="_blank">Pinoy Big Brother</a>” alumnus revealed in 2019 that he was supposed to be a seaman if ever he didn&#x27;t make it to showbiz. He planned on following in the footsteps of his uncle, who promised to help him land a job aboard a ship, as he thought that it would be an effective means to help his family with their financial woes.Before rising to fame as the “Ate Girl” of “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime" target="_blank">It’s Showtime</a>,” did you know that Jackie Gonzaga was aiming to become a flight attendant? However, her decision to take a break first after graduating from college and pursue her passion for dancing had led her to where she is right now.As he appeared on TWBA in 2017 to promote his film “Dear Other Self,” Joseph Marco was quizzed by Tito Boy about his greatest “what if” in life. According to him, he would have studied and lived abroad if ever he could just turn back time. Apparently, he planned on taking up culinary studies to become a chef since he claimed to love cooking.We could not have heard the powerful voice of Jed Madela if ever he heeded his father’s advice for him to not pursue his singing career and be a flight attendant instead. However, knowing that it was really not his passion, his aunt, who brought him to Manila from Iloilo, helped him talk things out with his father, who eventually agreed and went on to become very supportive of him.And lastly, we’re able to find out through his TWBA guesting in 2018 that James Reid actually used to be a good cook. As he took on the fun “Legit or Lie” game, he imparted that it was actually his initial career path back in Australia since he studied to become a chef.
