Actress Bela Padilla had two films lined-up in December 2019. The first one was “Mañanita” where she portrayed the character of a female sniper shooter. “It was so mind-blowing. When I shot my first bullet, naramdaman ko ‘yung anxiety at pagod ng character ko,” said Bela who underwent intensive trainings for her role.

On their first shooting day, Bela had to position herself in a cliff and stay in there for eight hours to sustain the continuity of the scene. “It felt very real,” she added.

The film is inspired by the Mañanita cops in Davao who use guitars instead of guns, serenading instead of using violence in asking suspects to surrender. “Mañanita”, written by Lav Diaz, also talks about forgiveness.

Bela was also part of “Miracle in Cell No. 7”, an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival. Bela sounded genuinely overwhelmed as she talked about the movie’s top-notch cast including Aga Muhlach, Joel Torre, JC Santos, Soliman Cruz, and Xia Vigor. “Every shooting day, I’m always just so in awe of everything that’s happening. This was such a joy to work on,” she expressed.

The actress played the TWBA’s Fast Talk inTENse Edition. She said Dani is the clingy one between them and she is open to working with Marian Rivera. She experienced going out with a guy she met in an online dating site. She considers untidy fingernails and toenails as her pet peeve.

Bela mentioned Dennis Trillo as her all-time favorite leading man. If she’s going to write a screenplay for Zanjoe Marudo, it would be titled “Malamig ba diyan sa taas?” because of the actor’s towering height.
