In 2019, Ria Atayde starred in the <a href="https://iwanttfc.com">iWantTFC</a> series “High, which required her to climb on top of a building for a scene. She refused to wear harness at first. “Kasi mahirap ‘pag may harness. Hindi naman kaliitan ‘yung hita ko ‘di ba? So mahirap siya sa pants,” she explained in a past episode of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/tonightwithboyabunda">Tonight with Boy Abunda</a>. Her mom Sylvia Sanchez heard what she just did and rushed to the film location to check on her. So, on the next take, Ria was compelled to wear safety gears. She was admittedly surprised with Sylvia’s visit but she said she understands that Sylvia was just concerned about her safety.From there, she talked about their mother-daughter relationship, which got stronger when she joined showbiz. For Ria, their dynamics is founded in understanding and respect. She opens up to her as much as possible, although there are things she couldn’t tell her mom. She said Sylvia has always been supportive and protective of them since they were young. Ria and Sylvia recently starred in the digital series “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-news/sylvia-makes-viewers-cry-in-iwanttfc-misis-piggy-17223">Misis Piggy</a>.”
