The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is aiming to partner with nine more Philippine companies to educate women about family planning and reproductive health care. UNFPA Country Representative Klaus Beck told ANC&#x27;s Market Edge that they are currently talking to companies to get on board the agency&#x27;s Business Action for Family Planning project. Beck said they have already partnered with several firms, including a multinational cosmetics company, to reach out to 1.4 million people in 3 years and they are looking to reach a total of 3.8 million Filipinos over the next 18 months.&quot;It&#x27;s really about providing good quality healthcare for your employees and that way, you hope to keep them on board longer in a market that may be more competitive,&quot; Beck said.Beck said that companies have different goals in promoting family planning. While some businesses see it as means to reduce maternal healthcare costs, social enterprises see it as a tool to reduce poverty.
