There is such a thing as good dynasties, according to reelectionist Sen. Cynthia Villar, saying her family is one of them. &quot;It&#x27;s the perception of people, especially in Manila. We cant be a bad dynasty in Metro Manila. They&#x27;re (people) so intelligent. They will not allow you to be there if you&#x27;re not good,&quot; Villar told ANC&#x27;s Headstart. Nonetheless, Villar said she is willing to comply should an anti-dynasty law be passed. Villar&#x27;s family is involved in both politics and business. Cynthia&#x27;s daughter, Camille, is seeking a congressional seat as representative of Las Piñas while son, Mark, is currently secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways. Villar&#x27;s in-law Imelda Aguilar is gunning for another term as Las Piñas mayor alongside her daughter, April. Villar&#x27;s family - particularly that of her husband former Sen. Manny - has also ventured in businesses particularly on real estate, and have been accused of conflict of interest. Despite this, Villar insists her family is &quot;very careful&quot; with the businesses they venture in. &quot;My family has been very careful about &#x27;conflict of interest&#x27; in our business,&quot; she said. She added that honesty is &quot;important to me as a person.&quot;
