Makati City is using an online platform to trace the contacts of COVID-19 patients and other suspected and probable cases. The portal allows the individuals to encode their own updates instead of waiting for government representatives to get in touch with them, said Mayor Abby Binay.

"Hopefully, this will be very, very useful and will help us minimize and contain our COVID patients," she said in an interview on ANC.

"We're hoping that this will be such a successful platform that other LGUs and even the DOH might want to consider adopting this kind of platform," she added.

The city government is also rolling out quarantine facilities and mass testing in its fight against COVID-19. It will also shoulder the cremation of those who will die of the disease.
