Nancy Binay holds back tears, tells sister Abby: We're still family

Sen. Nancy Binay on Monday sought reconciliation with her sister Makati Mayor Abigail Binay, who figured over the weekend in a public altercation with their brother Junjun Binay. The heated argument between Abigail and Junjun, who are both running for mayor of the financial district, disrupted an election forum held inside a church on Saturday. &quot;&#x27;Pag wala na kami sa puwesto, at the end of the day, marami sa mga nakapaligid sa &#x27;min mawawala lahat iyan, pero kaming pamilya n&#x27;ya, will always be there for her,&quot; Nancy said in an ANC interview. &quot;Kahit ginaganyan niya kami, kami pa rin ang kadugo niya kaya kahit ang daming nabato, we&#x27;re still family,&quot; she added. (Once we are no longer in power, at the end of the day, many of those around us will disappear, but our family will always be there for her. Even if she treats us this way, we still share the same blood and even if many accusations have been thrown, we&#x27;re still family.) Abigail said their spat started when Junjun accused her husband of involvement in the drug trade, which the latter denied. Junjun, she said, also claimed they were behind the death of his longtime aide Monaliza &quot;Monette&quot; Bernardo, who was shot dead last March by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants in Makati. During the ANC interview, Junjun said that under his leadership, Makati in 2014 was the most competitive highly urbanized city in the country, but has now slipped to 6th place. Nancy also showed a photo supposedly taken inside the Ospital ng Makati last December, showing curtain rods being used to hold dextrose fluids. &quot;This is not the Binay brand of service,&quot; she said. &quot;This has nothing to do with our personal issues.
