The general manager of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Thursday said he is studying a permanent ban of white taxis from the country&#x27;s main gateway. A 2-week trial ban of white taxis at the NAIA Terminal 1 started last Monday, leaving travelers with the option of hailing yellow and coupon taxis, airport buses or ride-sharing services. &quot;Pag po tumuloy-tuloy, isusunod ko po iyung terminal 2 and terminal 4,&quot; said Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Ed Monreal. (If it proceeds well, I will implement the ban at terminals 2 and 4.) &quot;Medyo mayroon lang akong pag-aatubili sa terminal 3 sa laki po ng volume ng umaalis at dumarating, baka hindi po kayanin ng mga transportation concessioneires ,&quot; he told radio DZMM.(I just have some hesitation on Terminal 3 because transportation concessionaires may bow under the volume of travelers departing and leaving.) The policy was implemented after a taxi driver was arrested for allegedly attacking two foreign vloggers after demanding that they pay a flat rate instead of what was in the taxi meter, on top of a luggage fee. MIAA was coordinating with the vloggers following reports that they were hesitant to file formal complaints against the driver, said Monreal. <div>DZMM, 9 May 2019 </div>
