At least seven people were killed in a stampede during a Hindu procession in eastern India’s Bihar state, according to local media reports.The incident occurred in the district of Jehanabad, where devotees had gathered for weekly prayers to mark the auspicious month of Shrawan, dedicated to the Hindu god, Shiva.Chaos and mismanagement led to the stampede, said one survivor. Authorities were working to identify those who were killed and injured in the incident.A similar stampede at a Hindu religious event in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh state killed more than 100 people last month. - Report from Reuters
