Patrick Garcia reveals that his non-showbiz girlfriend is pregnant;admits rift with Jennylyn Mercado

<div><img src="" alt="012313-patrick_main.jpg" align="left" border="0" height="290" width="305"/>Currently part of the cast of the upcoming Primetime Bida series <i>Apoy Sa Dagat</i>, Patrick Garcia admits he is happy with his relationship with a non-showbiz girl. “Yes it’s true. My girlfriend now is pregnant and we’re happily expecting a baby girl next month. It was never a secret. I just don’t talk about it because I like my private life to be private,” he shares. The 31 year-old actor was last seen on Kapamilya shows like <i>Maalaala Mo Kaya</i> and <i>Precious Hearts Romance Presents: Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin</i> last year. </div><div><br/></div><div>In <i>Apoy Sa Dagat</i>, Patrick plays the role of a man torn between Empress and Nikki Gil and who’s fate is cut short by a tragedy at sea. In real life, he admits he is still a proud father to Alex Jazz, his son with Jennylyn Mercado. Even though he is expecting a new child, Patrick says this does not mean he is not going to support his firstborn anymore. “<i>Ay hindi naman</i>. No, no. I’ve always explained to Jen <i>naman na</i> because a few months ago work was scarce, <i>wala masyadong ano, yung suporta ko kay</i> Jazz <i>medyo na-ho</i>-hold back.<i> Pero</i> I’ve explained to her<i> na pagdating ng</i> salary <i>ko,</i> that I would always give to Jazz <i>naman.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>Despite his sincere intention, Patrick admits that his lack of financial means at the time caused a misunderstanding between him and Jennylyn. “<i>Pero</i> feeling<i> niya siguro </i>I was really holding back because <i>hindi ako nakapagbigay ng</i> two months. <i>Pero nung</i> third month <i>nakapagbigay ako pero nangyari na lahat ng mga yung</i> so<i> ayun</i>,” he shares during the <i>Apoy Sa Dagat</i> presscon held last January 22 at the Dolphy Theater inside the ABS-CBN compound.</div><div> </div><div>Patrick says he hopes his former girlfriend will stop putting him in a bad light because of his devotion to Jazz. “<i>Sana</i> if she was just patient and if she just believed me <i>na </i>what I was saying was true, <i>sana hindi kami nag-away-away. Sana magkaayos</i>. I love my son very much. I love Jazz. I miss him and I want to spend many days with him because I don’t want him to grow up not knowing me,” he admits. </div><div><br/></div><div>Although he admits to not having spent much bonding time with his son last year, Patrick says he feels blessed to have gotten the chance to visit him during the holidays with the help of Jennylyn’s adoptive mother Lydia. “There’s one time<i> nung </i>Christmas, <i>gustong gusto ko makita si </i>Jazz <i>kasi siyempre </i>it’s been many, many months [since I last saw him] so <i>sana sa</i> Christmas<i> makita ko. Tinext ko si</i> Tita Lydia <i>kung puwede ko makita and pinayagan naman niya ako.</i> But she spoke to me <i>na hindi alam ni </i>Jen, <i>pero</i> Tita Lydia is honest <i>naman eh, </i>so afterwards<i> sinabi rin niya kay</i> Jen<i> na nagpunta ako dun, </i>which is the right thing to do. </div><div><br/></div><div>Patrick adds that Jennylyn’s mom also hopes that they can fix their differences for the sake of their son. “And she advised me<i> na yung problema niyo ni</i> Jen, <i>kayong dalawa lang ang makakaayos. </i>So I’m just waiting for the right timing na I have to approach Jen and tell her that we should talk and settle this<i> pero</i> the timing is very crucial for me.<i> Parang gusto ko </i>everything is okay.<i> Kung wala na siyang masyadong galit</i> or whatever.
