Baron Geisler plays his first father role in 'Saka-Saka'

<div><img src="" alt="121913-Baron_Main.jpg" width="305" height="290" align="left" border="0"/>As part of this year&#x27;s Metro Manila Film Festival New Wave Film category, Baron Geisler admitted he felt honored when he was approached to play the role of Ejay Falcon and Joseph Marco&#x27;s hitman father in <i>Saka Saka</i>. The talented actor, who first entered showbiz at 12 years old via <i>Ang TV</i> in 1994, said this is his first time to be offered a father role. “Actually it is <i>pero</i> father role in a good way <i>kasi hindi naman</i> father role<i> na anak ko si</i> Ejay, it was<i> nung mga bata pa sila. Kasi </i>one-third of the film is my story of how <i>Saka-Saka</i> live and where they get their income from. Eventually I die and the two boys take revenge,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>The 31-year-old actor said it took him some time to adjust to a more mature character. <i>“Sobra. Kasi hindi pa naman ako ganun katanda. Wala pa akong anak</i> (laughs),” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>As one of the Kapamilya network&#x27;s homegrown talents, Baron said he always looks forward to doing projects in ABS-CBN. “Of course working with<i> direk</i> Toto Natividad and the film being supervised and produced by Ms. Charo Santos-Concio, I feel very honored that they picked me or they included me in their film. It&#x27;s an action film and I really want action films to resurface in the industry. <i>Kasi kaya naman natin eh basta maganda yung storya </i>and I believe <i>Saka-Saka </i>has a great story to tell,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Baron is also part of ER Ejercito&#x27;s MMFF entry<i> Boy Golden</i> along with KC Concepcion. This is the third movie project he has done with the Laguna governor. “I play an albino henchman, <i>anak araw.</i> And then I have scenes with Mr. Eddie Garcia where I beat him up. <i>Sobrang</i> exciting. The first time<i> na nakatrabaho ko siya sa eksena,</i> I was shaking<i> kasi parang </i>wow I am acting with a legend. <i>Hindi ko na</i>-compose<i> yung sarili ko, naging</i> fan<i> ako eh. Nawala ako sa</i> element <i>ko eh nung naka-eksena ko siya</i>. And<i> yung eksena wala pang masyadong</i> dialogue. I just say hello there, surprise,” he recalled.</div><div><br/></div><div>The talented actor also revealed his holiday plans as well as what he plans to do next year. <i>“Baka mag</i>-Baguio <i>kami kasi darating</i> sister <i>ko </i>from the States. I haven&#x27;t seen her in eight years so<i> doon kami mag-se</i>-celebrate. For next year<i> naman </i>I&#x27;m just waiting for a soap opera and then<i> siguro sobrang saya ko na pagka-nasama ulit ako sa isang teleserye. Yung mga</i> New Year resolutions <i>masyado ng</i> cliché <i>yan eh. Basta patuloy lang ang pagbabago </i>and I’ll just keep on moving forward,” he admitted.</div><div><br/></div><div>Baron also admitted he is very much committed to his Fil-Italian girlfriend, newscaster Isabelle Cantu. “She&#x27;s still my inspiration and <i>lagi akong nasa</i> right track<i> pag kasama siya</i>. She&#x27;s a good influence. We like swimming, we like walking in the park, just doing stuff together, working out and eating. I think that&#x27;s why I gained weight (laughs). We love to eat,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Watch <i>Saka-Saka </i>at the MMFF&#x27;s New Wave category from December 18 to 24.
