With the successful premiere of her Star Cinema movie Must Be Love, Kathryn Bernardo said she feels very blessed with all the support she has gotten from ABS-CBN and her loyal fans who have been with her since she starred in Mara Clara, Growing Up, and Princess and I. In the movie, Kathryn plays the role of the tomboyish Pachot, who realizes that she has fallen in love with her best friend Ivan. The talented actress said she is confident that her movie will be entertaining not just to teens, but also to viewers of all ages.

“Lumaki ako na one of the boys dito sa movie at saka basta yung story, about siya sa transformation na hinahanap niya yung sarili niya and yung puwede naman palang magbago. Lahat tayo may mga changes din sa buhay. Siguro ito yung first movie ko na masasabi kong pang-bata. Pero feeling ko makaka-relate kahit yung mommies na matanda na kasi yung transformation naman nanagyayari siya sa iba-ibang age siya, nangyayari siya sa lahat ng tao, yung mga changes and since feeling ko ma-e-enjoy nila yung movie kasi napagdaanan nila yung mga pagdadaanan ko dun,” she shared.

Kath admitted that just like her character Pachot, she has also undergone significant changes in her life growing up. “Siguro ito yung nabigyan ako ng chance na medyo pagnag-mo-mall kami nakikilala ka na talaga nila kahit nasan ka tapos yung mga changes physically na parang dati naman ako wala naman akong confidence, parang si Pachot. Hindi ako confident before eh. Siguro yung iba akala nila pag artista hindi na nahihiya or ganyan na. Ako mahiyain ako, madali akong ma-awkward na tao pag maraming tao or for example pag presscon ayun medyo nahihiya ako pag ganun at saka siguro kapag hindi nila alam na mahilig din ako kumain (laughs). Magandang fact yun ha! Parang marami rin akong mga insecurities. Pero parang ma-ri-realize ko din at the end doon na ma-ha-handle niya kung paano siya. Siguro nakatulong din yun. na-build yung confidence ko. Lumabas yung hiya ko, yun (laughs),” she said.

Kath said she wants to focus honing her other talents as well. “Kung bibigyan ng chance and kung may time talaga, kung for example may time lang ako na isang taon or ilang months na mag-train sa ganyan, gusto ko rin para may iba rin akong ma-explore like siguro kung mag-focus ako sa dancing or kung may air dancing, mga ganyan (laughs) para iba naman sa napapanuod nila. Tapos feeling ko yung sa ASAP, pag nasa ASAP kami dun kami nabibigyan ng chance na mapakita yung ibang side namin and idol ko si Sarah Geronimo kasi nakaka-inspire naman siya,” she revealed.

When it comes to her personal life, Kath reacted to comments saying she and Daniel Padilla look sweet even off-cam. “Yung kilig vibes na nakikita ninyo hindi namin makita (laughs). Siguro kasi sobrang comfortable na ako with DJ eh so nakikita nila sa set na nagsusuntukan kami ganyan, ganyan. Siguro natutuwa lang sila sa amin. So yun lang, nagpapakatotoo lang naman din kami sa set eh,” she said.

Kath added that she is happy her love team with DJ has become so popular, but she is realistic about the chance that they might be paired with other people in the future. “Siguro malulungkot ako siyempre kung ma-partner siya sa iba kasi super bait ni DJ talaga sa akin and kung dumating man sa point na yun, siguro hindi naman mawawala sa amin yung communication, magkikita pa rin kami. Basta trabaho lang siguro,” she admitted.

Now that they have admitted to being on an “MU” status, Kath said it doesn't mean she will be possessive of her Must Be Love co-star. “Hindi ko naman siya pinagbabawalan na manligaw sa iba kasi wala pa naman akong right eh. So choice naman niya kung ano yung gusto niya,” she added.

The morena beauty said even though her family is understanding about her personal life, they still guide her with her decisions. “Siyempre strict pa rin. Andun yung limitations so depende lang sa babae yun kung paano niya iha-handle.” As to whether or not they have allowed her to have a boyfriend, Kath replied, “Sana hindi muna. Pero gusto rin niya ako maging normal girl na may nanliligaw pero sana huwag muna pero puwede magpaligaw,” she admitted.
