011314-kris_mainphoto.jpgMore than the “good deal” that she recently closed with the ABS-CBN management, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino revealed that the passionate response of her fans got her to renew her contract with the network.

Recall that Kris announced her decision via her Instagram account on January 6 after several days of keeping the public wondering whether she would cease to be a Kapamilya. While she has clarified on the said post that she has kept her doors open and even spoke with other networks, Kris however failed to discuss in full detail what led her to her decision.

This was the very subject that she spoke about at length during her taped interview aired on Buzz ng Bayan on Sunday.

“Kailangan isipin na kung ano ba ang magagawa ko in the next few years na okay si Kuya [Josh]. Na ‘yung hindi naman sa pagiging greedy, pero sinisigurado mo lang na sana ito ‘yung [makuha],” she said.

While she already knew how “passionate” the Kapamilya audience were even long before her indecision incident happened, Kris claimed that she only realized its actual extent the past days “Na parang it was a feeling of a family member walking away.”

She even commented, “Siyempre I’ll be honest also, super na-appreciate ko ‘yung mga nagsabi sakin na ‘saan ka man magpunta tagahanga mo kami, we’ll be there.’ Pero siyempre na-understand ko talaga na kung eleksyon ito, ‘yung vast majority sinasabi ‘Wag kang lumayas! Magagalit kami sayo kung umalis ka!’

Kris, though, time and time and again, has been very clear in saying that most of her decisions in her career lately have been anchored on the idea as to what could give her eldest son with actor Phillip Salvador a comfortable life in the future.

“At the end of this, when I turn 45 and it’s time to walk away, at least I can do so na sure na sure ang kinabukasan ni Josh. Parati ko 'yun ine-emphasize na si Bimb survivor, may pupuntahan talaga. Si Kuya ang kailangan kong siguraduhin na kahit anong mangyari sa akin, he’ll be financially stable come what may,” said the award-winning host.

But she remains grateful of the support that she has been getting all these years as well as the support that the public has given her other son, Bimby, on his debut film My Little Bossings.

“I just wanna say thank you po. Andami-daming nagtatrabaho pero marami ang trabaho nila hindi ‘yung pinangarap nila mula kabataan. Kayo po binigay niyo sakin talaga. What was a childhood dream became my reality. Sa dinami-dami ng pwedeng magawa in one day at sa dami ng options ninyo pinipili niyo na ako po ang samahan,” began the Kris TV host.

Then added, “Thank you kasi ngayon ko na-realize pala talaga na it’s possible talaga na ‘yung kaligayahan mo, it doesn’t come pala talaga from fulfillment sa sarili but it comes from seeing people love your child. Hindi mo ma-e-explain ‘yung paguumapaw nung kaligayahan kapag naramdaman mo na ipinagkaloob ‘yun at niregalo ‘yun sa anak mo.”
