Ejay Falcon didn't even mince his words when he admitted that he was the one who initiated the ending of his almost five-month relationship with Kapamilya star Yam Concepcion.

The star first spoke up about the issue during the recently-concluded press conference of his upcoming Maalaala Mo Kaya episode where he plays the role of an inmate from Tacloban named Jomar who returned to prison after helping his family survive Yolanda.

'Siguro nung time na 'yun kasi may pagkakamali talaga ako pero nakapag-usap na po kami,' he said.

The good thing, though according to Ejay, is that they were already able to clear up things about what happened to between them two months ago. 'Nagkita kami. Tinawagan ko po siya kasi alam kong may pagkakamali talaga ako,' Ejay shared.

He added, 'In-explain ko po sa kanya kung bakit nagkaganon, sinabi ko po lahat. Nagtawanan na lang kami so parang, 'Ano may dine-date kababa?' Okay na kami.'

In a previous interview with the sexy actress, Yam claimed that Ejay left her hanging because he couldn't really balance being with her and his priorities with his family.

He explained, 'Ang hirap kasi magsalita so magpapaka gentleman na lang ako. May mali po ako pero nakapagusap na kami.'

But he quickly added, 'Oo, noon. Noong time na. 'Yung kasi after Dugong Buhay nung New Year 'yun eh noong umuwi ako ng Mindoro nakita ko 'yung family ko parang [naisip ko] 'Wow marami pa akong obligasyon dito,'' The two were first paired onscreen on the now defunct afternoon series Dugong Buhay.

After all that has happened between them, Ejay is just thankful that they were able to learn from their experience saying that, 'Doon sa pagkaka mali na 'yun natututo ka naman talaga eh. Siguro parehas kami na natutunan namin doon na 'wag magpadalos-dalos kasi masyadong mabilis lahat ng pangyayari sa amin.'

Meanwhile, Ejay, an Iglesia ni Cristo member, likewise clarified that religion was never a 'major factor' why he and Yam parted ways. 'Siguro hindi 'yun 'yung pinaka main reason. 'Yung family ko talaga pero darating 'yung time na alam ko magiging reason rin 'yun,' Ejay said.

As of the moment, he says they have not rekindled their romance but should it happen, Ejay assured that he would make it right this time. 'Kung sino man ang magiging girlfriend ko or kung babalikan ko siya, aaminin ko na talaga 'yun. Makikita niyo na 'yun magka-holding hands kami naglalakad sa ABS,' he said.

But will he be ready to work with Yam in the future? 'Opo, opo,' he said. 'Kasi dapat may gagawin kami eh.'
