Many were taken by surprise when Solenn Heussaff’s friends Isabelle Daza and the latter’s boyfriend Adrien Semblat revealed that her actress-model’s Argentinian boyfriend Nicco Bolzzico had proposed to her.
Even Solenn herself, in a recent interview with PEP, shared that she also didn’t expect her boyfriend’s proposal. “Akala ko next year or two years pa,' she began.

The “very casual” proposal, Solenn said, happened at her parents’ home, where she used to spend her time when Nicco is not in the metro.

'We're very simple. Hindi ako ma-flash mob. Naka jeans lang ako na pambahay. Galing ako ng 15-hour flight. ‘Pag wala si Nicco, usually nasa bahay ako ng parents ko. Akala ko nasa Bacolod siya. [So] from the airport, straight ako sa bahay ng parents ko. Then biglaan,'the Filipino-French actress recalled.

In fact, she was so surprised that she doesn’t even recall if she actually said “yes” when he asked her to marry him.

'I just said, 'Holy sh__t!' I don't think I said yes,' Solenn added with a smile.

Solenn proudly shared that as a practicing Catholic, Nicco opted to make things traditional and official before he proposed to her. “Super traditional ang parents niya. Ang parents niya, Catholic, like my mom. Pumunta siya sa bahay ko,” she said.

On wedding and kidsSolenn admitted that she prefers to have a “quiet” wedding. 'You will know 'pag out na ang pictures. Gusto ko private. Destination wedding, and I will make it sure it is very far,” the 29-year-old actress said, adding that she wants it to happen in a church outside of the country. Have they started planning for the wedding? 'Not yet. Parang super lazy ako. Naging comfortable na ko sa buhay namin so no plans yet,' she said. Have they set a date for their big day? “Not soon. Definitely not.' How about having kids? 'I super want, pero by [age] 31, in two years' [time],' she said.
The reason why she seems reluctant to get into the full-on bride-planning mode apart from being “lazy” is that their engagement barely changed a thing about their relationship.
In previous interviews, Solenn has openly discussed that she has been co-habitating with Nicco for three years. 'Since kami three years naka live in, ang nag-iba lang ang singsing. Lahat ng bills, hati-hati. Very practical,' she said. She added, 'We are in a Catholic country and people have different ways of doing things. And ‘yung sa amin hindi raw masyadong magandang tingnan kasi we're living in for three years. But for me, mas makikilala ko ang tao at mas magiging long-lasting ang relationship.' But even though they have lived together, Solenn remains to be a believer of marriage but she pointed out, 'I believe in marriage, but I believe that it's hard work.'
