As allcallbacks go, she went to the set garbed in nice clothes, blow-dryed hair, andeven wearing a nice set of false teeth--only to find out that the directorswere looking for actors fit to portray the kids of downtown Manila. Direk Cathyasked if she can cut her waist-length hair to make her look like a boy as partof the narrative. &#x27;So ako, okay lang sa akin kasi feel na feel ko naman.Gusto ko naman mag-artista.&#x27; Miles was to play the role of young boy Pepe.Like the viewing public, a number of people on the set actually thought thatshe is a boy. &#x27;Yung ibang audio man, pag kakabitan ako ng lapel, nagtatakasila bakit daw &#x27;yung underwear ko pambabae, e lalaki daw ako,&#x27; Milesquipped. &#x27;Lahat ng babae sa Quiapo, crush nila ako.
