Lolit Solis and Atty. Raymond Fortun issue contradicting statements on Jolo Revilla

Talent manager and host Lolit Solis stands by her earlier statement that what happened to Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla was no accident.

It was reported yesterday that the younger Revilla sustained a single gunshot wound on his right chest due to an 'accident' while cleaning his handgun.

Bolstering her earlier announcement to the press, Lolit, in a statement aired on The Buzz on Sunday said, 'May statement na si Atty. [Raymond] Fortun pero bilang isa sa pinakamalapit sa pamilya Revilla, gusto ko na malaman ninyo na may pinagdaraanang emotional phase si Jolo.'

According to Lolit this started when his father, Senator Bong Revilla Jr. got detained in connection to the Pork Barrel scam some months ago.

Lolit revealed, 'Feeling niya [Jolo] nawalan siya nang emotional crutch, ng pader na masasandalan na lalo pang nadagdagan ng mga huling pangyayari sa kaso ni Bong. Sana malagpasan niya ito at maisip niya na may anak siya, si Gab na nakasandal din sakanya.'

Furthermore, the veteran host asked for prayers for the Revilla family as they were all affected by what happened to Jolo, especially Bong 'dahil wala siya sa tabi ni Jolo ngayon. Kailangan siya ng anak niya.'

'Hindi ko nga alam kung paano na-te-take ni Lani [Mercado] ito, nasa kulungan ang asawa tapos nangyari ito dahil sa depresyon ni Jolo,' she said. (continued on next page)

Meanwhile, Atty. Raymond, the family's spokesperson, countered Lolit's earlier claim.

'Well it is self-inflicted in the sense na nag-iisa lang naman siya noong nangyari ito no? Pero hindi ito intentional at definitely aksidente lamang. Wala itong kinalaman sa anything na hinaharap ng pamilya nila,' he said.

Atty. Raymond even stressed, 'Ang pamilyang Revilla ay nananatiling matibay ang loob at handa po ito sa mangyayari. Jolo is a very strong individual. In my personal experience sa pakikipagusap sakanya, itong taong ito cannot just easily be depressed, that's for sure. There's really no reason for anybody to be depressed.'

According to him Jolo is now in a stable condition 'Wala namang any respirator or any mechanical device. Meron siyang IV, naka-dextrose siya, naka-bandage naman ang right chest niya, other than that wala naman akong ibang napansin sakaniya.'

However, Jolo had to stay in the hospital because 'A gunshot wound is serious. Maraming pwedeng mangyari diyan. He may be lucid now and coherent pero maybe there would be complications. Pwedeng magkaroon nang infection and 'yan nga ang binabantayan ng mga doktor for the next 72 hours.'
