Vic Sotto on entrusting VST & Co. music rights to ABS-CBN: ‘We feel good about it’

<img src="" alt="091115-vic_main.jpg" width="400" height="290" align="left" border="0"/>In a report on TV Patrol, prominent comedian Vic Sotto says it was a right decision to entrust the copyright dues of their group VST &amp; Co. to ABS-CBN. The musicians rose to fame during the late 1970s composed of Senator Tito Sotto, Vic, Joey de Leon and other artists. The songs they composed made a great impact and heavily contributed to what is now called Manila Sound. “Everything’s plantsado na. Protektado kami, which is, I think the most important lalo na para sa mga song-writers. Mas maganda ngayon ang setup with Star [records] at the same time mas madaling ma she-share sa taong bayan. We feel good about it. Tito, Vic and Joey,” he said. Their legendary compositions will eventually be used as theme songs for ABS-CBN’s TV series. Songs like &#x27;Magsayawan,&#x27; &#x27;Ipagpatawad Mo,&#x27; &#x27;Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko&#x27; are from their music catalog.

Vic says it’s the right decision for them to entrust the rights of their songs to Star records.
