EXCLUSIVE: Hashtags member Jimboy Martin to make acting debut in ‘Born For You’

<div><img src="" alt="060716-jimboy_main.jpg" width="400" height="290" align="left" border="0"/>After the release of their group’s first album, Hashtags member Jimboy Martin is also venturing into another first—that is acting.</div><div><br/></div><div>In an exclusive interview with the <i>Pinoy Big Brother 737</i> teen big winner, he revealed that he is set to be part of the upcoming soap Born For You to be headlined by Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador. </div><div><br/></div><div>According to Jimboy he is currently taping for the soap in the role of Janella’s best friend.</div><div><i><br/></i></div><div><i>“Sa una kinakabahan ako. Kasi wala akong workshop na nakukuha at performance at dance and singing ang talagang ginagawa ko. Hanggang sa napunta ako sa acting. Akala ko okay ang acting ko, yun pala hindi pa,”</i> he recalled about his first few days of taping.</div><div><br/></div><div>Eventually, though, Jimboy, was able to get into acting.</div><div><br/></div><div>He adds, <i>“Nakakailang taping palang naman kami so sana hanggang tumagal eh magamay ko.”</i></div><div><br/></div><div>Jimboy is the fourth Hashtags member to venture into acting since they were launched. He joins the league of McCoy De Leon, who is part of the primetime soap <i><a href="http://wewillsurvive.abs-cbn.com">We Will Survive</a></i>; Zeus Collins, who’s part of the movie <i>Love Me Tomorrow;</i> and Nikko Natividad, who’s part of the movie <i>Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako.</i></div><div><br/></div><div>Will he be open to be part of a movie just like the other members?</div><div><br/></div><div><i>“Oo naman kasi ‘yun nga parang lyrics ng kanta ‘You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes, once in a lifetime,’</i>” he said quoting famous rapper Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Meanwhile, apart from rapping and composing the rap part on the Hashtags’ song “Sorry Na, Pwede Ba,” Jimboy also took part in Enchong Dee’s second album titled EDM.</div><div><br/></div><div>“<i>Kasi si Kuya Enchong pumasok siya sa bahay ni Kuya tapos nagkausap kami and sinabi nga niya na sana makapag-rap ako sa album niya. ‘Yun nung paglabas namin natupad ko naman ang sinabi niya,”</i> shared Jimboy about his rap part on Enchong’s song titled “Crush.”</div><div><br/></div>
