Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo were not able to contain their excitement over the fact that they are able to work together again on a project.

Kathryn and Julia had a “mini reunion” during the former’s launch as the first local ambassador of contact lens brand Air Optix on Sunday, July 10.

“Siya ‘yung original love team ko! Walang makakapigil samin,” joked Kathryn.

She added, “Nakakatuwa kasi nagkasama ulit kami and hopefully next time for something naman na para sa mga JulKath.”

The Doble Kara star for her part did not mask her excitement about their reunion.

“Ang sarap, ang sarap. Na-excite ako kasi every time na milestone and achievement siya, ako talaga ang pinakamasaya,” she said.

Julia even added that she really missed the Pangako Sa’Yo actress and according to her “until now we’re still the same and nothing has changed.”

But how did they manage to maintain their friendship?

Julia says that having a genuine heart really means a lot.

“Kasi kahit naman anong friendship, kapag wala kang genuine heart, na hindi mo talaga kine-care ‘yung tao genuinely, hindi siya talaga magla-last,” explained Julia.

According to Julia, treating each other as “sisters” also worked to their advantage because “walang hangganan.”

Kathryn, for her part, underscored that communication plays a crucial role in maintaining friendships.

“Like kami ni Julia, magkahiwalay na kami parati. Hindi man kami nagkikita but then we always make sure na kakamustahin mo siya and tatanungin mo siya kung may problema kasi ang laking bagay ng communication talaga,” she said.

In the end, Kathryn hopes to have another project with Julia soon enough “para sa mga JulKath.”
