Daniel Padilla is working with two people very close to him in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad. The actor is starring in the film alongside his mom Karla Estrada and Vice Ganda.

When asked how it felt working with his mom and the comedian, he replied, “Nagkaroon kami ng eksena na magkakasama kaming lahat at medyo mahirap siya dahil masyadong riot sa set pag magkakasama sina ermat, sina Vice, pero masaya na nakikita mo ‘yung ermat mo kasama mo sa trabaho mo siyempre,” he relayed.

He added that The Revenger Squad is such a happy set that shooting has been such a breeze. “Sabay ko ‘yung La Luna (Sangre) and Revenger and alam naman natin ang tema sa La Luna and medyo nakakapagod talaga siya and araw-araw kami. So paglumilipat ako ng Revenger, medyo nare-refresh ako kasi nandon naman ermat ko, nandon naman si Vice so tawanan lang kami sa set so masaya,” he said.

Daniel is starring in the movie without his perennial onscreen partner Kathryn Bernardo. Asked how he felt shooting the film without his ka-love team, he replied, “Siyempre nakakapanibago na wala si Kathryn don, sa itong movie, itong Revenger. Pero hindi mo na rin kasi mapapansin kasi sabay din naman namin ginagawa ‘yung La Luna eh so actually every day kami magkasama sa La Luna and one day shooting day ko wala si Kathryn don, nakakapanibago rin.”

Despite going solo for this project, Daniel still had great news for KathNiel fans. “Merong cameo si Kathryn dito sa pelikula,” he revealed.
