040217-KayeCal.jpgMusician Kaye Cal considers herself lucky to be lined up along with esteemed lesbian singers Aiza Seguerra and Charice.

Unlike Aiza and Charice though, Kaye’s voice is “manlier” than the two.

“Siguro medyo kasi kakaiba siya eh. Hindi siya ‘yung the usual na girl or boy ganyan tapos ‘yung voice ko pa na minsan naco-confuse ang mga tao na nanonood or nakikinig,” she said about her distinct manly voice during the launch of her debut album under Star Music recently.

The “Nyebe” singer underscored that they all have different strengths and weaknesses.

“Parang sa akin siguro ‘yung voice ko. Na hindi siya pang-girl,” she said.

According to Kaye, her voice has been that way from the beginning and that she has no “complications” whatsoever.

“Talagang ganyan talaga siya,” she said.

But would she be open to working with the two singers in the future?

“It would be an honor to have a show with them kasi ano eh nandoon na sila sa taas ako, paakyat palang ako eh,” she said.

Kaye Cal’s nine-track album is now available in record stores nationwide.
