As Coco Martin continues to soar as television’s Primetime King and a streaking marvel in Philippine cinema, he always makes it a point to give back.

He has since spearheaded various outreach programs with his friends, co-stars, and staff despite his very busy schedule.

Just recently, he took a day off from taping FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and the newest movie incarnation of Ang Panday to mingle with the pupils of Paradise Farms Elementary School in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan whom he visited for the fourth time. Aside from distributing supplies and food, he also checked out the library he sponsored and met the young boy whom he gave a special birthday present to during his visit last year.

His first visit there was when he led the launching of the “Saludo sa Pamilyang Pilipino: Oplan Balik-Eskwela 2016” project where the pupils were also given school supplies and 18 units of electric fans and boxes of teaching aides for teachers were donated.

Coco has long been initiating education projects with school caravans he kicked off in 2013, including “Juan Fun School Day”, a special mission of the fantaseryes Juan Dela Cruz and My Little Juan, with his alma mater Rosa L. Susano Elementary School in Novaliches as one of its stopovers.

He then led his “Magical Summer Kids’ Day” project in 2015 with FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano producer Dreamscape Entertainment and non-profit organization U! Happy Events that was held at Little Lights Ministry in Pasig City and Kuya Center for Street Children in Quezon City. During these events, Coco was able to put back the smiles and hopes of less fortunate children and their families. In addition, Coco has been supporting his child co-stars in the action drama in their schooling.

Being a self-confessed "lola’s boy," Coco also gave back to the residents of GRACES Home for the Elderly in Quezon City and distributed sizable gifts and donations to them, along with FPJAP goodies, food, and drinks. He also did rounds in the wards of immobilized patients to speak with them and impart caring words. He also granted the wish of a bed-ridden elderly fan with a personal visit and gift giving, and also boosted the morale of wounded soldiers from the Marawi conflict with a mini-program and granting of aid.

Moreover, Coco and his team also came to the rescue to help the families affected by huge calamities, such as the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda four years ago and fires that hit residential areas in Dagupan and Tondo, Manila in 2016.

Being a janitor in Canada before he rose to stardom, he would very much relate to the woes of overseas Filipino workers. Because of this, Coco reached out to underprivileged OFWs during his shows abroad and helped them reunite with their families.

Coco prefers these philanthropic , charitable efforts to be low key because, as a close associate revealed, he considers them “personal.” He would however post updates about them on his website cocomartin.ph and his Instagam account, @mr.cocomartin.
