McCoy de Leon feels inspired working with Coco Martin in ‘Ang Panday’

<div style="text-align:justify"> </div>McCoy de Leon revealed that he has always wanted to try doing an action project so he was very elated when he was offered a role in the Ang Panday movie.“’Yung action naman para sa akin gusto ko na talaga dati pa po. Sabi ko nga nandiyan ‘yung mga role na komportable ako kaya excited nga ako na natanggap ko ‘yung role na ‘yun,” he said.The movie is directed by the Ang Panday lead star himself, Coco Martin. When asked to describe his experience working the actor, McCoy relayed, “Masasabi kong napaka-inspire kasi hindi lang siya bilang direktor, nakita ko siya bilang aktor, bilang malikhain na tao. Sobrang talino, sobrang sipag. Ang masasabi ko lang siguro na actually wala akong masasabing flaws sa kanya kasi kung nakita mo talaga, ‘yung gusto talaga niya ginagawa niya,” he said.Does he want to follow in the footsteps of Coco?“Marami pa akong dapat kaining bigas. Marami pa akong dapat patunayan kaya ito nagpupursigi ako muna na matuto pa, kaya sobrang layo pa siguro non,” he stated.As someone who looks up to Coco, McCoy always reminds himself of the advice he received from the actor. “Dati po nong nag-Ang Probinsyano kami palagi siyang nagsasabi na stay lang kung saan ka nag-umpisa, ‘yung mga nakaka-distract sa’yo huwag mong pansinin kasi nga don siya nagpursigi, nag-focus siya sa sarili niya hanggang naabot niya ‘yung mga ganon. Tsaka alam naman natin si kuya Coco sobrang makamasa ‘yan kaya sa akin nakikita ko rin na ang sarap makimasa rin. Alam mo ‘yun, bilang artista rin na mag-reach out din sa mga tao na mga simpleng tao lang din na alam mong madali kang lapitan din,” he said.
