Alex Gonzaga vehemently defended her non-showbiz boyfriend Mikee Morada from netizens who were questioning his intentions and sincerity towards her.

The I Can See Your Voice sing-vestigator answered a few insinuations on Twitter about Mikee.

One of the concerns raised by a netizen was how Alex managed to go out-of-the-country with Mikee, while her sister Toni was only able to go abroad with her husband Paul Soriano after tying the knot.

The singer-author explained that they were invited by Mikee’s uncle to go to the US.

Another issue that was brought up was Mikee’s supposed “misdemeanor” as seen in one of her vlog entries.

Alex defended her boyfriend by underscoring that she was merely joking around.

While the couple didn’t reveal the exact date when they officially became a couple, Alex shared that Mikee asked her whether she could be his girlfriend around November of 2016.
