Hollywood celebrity couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have decided to separate after 9 years of marriage, according to a joint statement Channing posted on his Facebook account on Tuesday, April 3.

"We have lovingly decided to separate as a couple," part of the statement read. "There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible."

The two said nothing has changed with their love for each other but their journey is taking them into different paths now.

In the statement, they also said they will not be commenting any further on the issue and thanked the public in advance for respecting their privacy.

Channing and Jenna first met on their first film together Step Up in 2006 before tying the knot in 2009. They have one daughter named Everly.
