Gerald Anderson reveals the reason behind his favorite jersey number

<div> </div>Two months since he officially joined the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, Gerald Anderson said he is now even more challenged after officially starting training for his exciting new soap. “Tuloy pa rin siyempre ang basketball (laughs). Kumbaga, isa yun sa mga motivations ko para galingan lahat ng aspeto ng buhay ko kasi alam ko na matutupad ko isa sa mga pangarap ko. Nakapag-varsity naman ako nung high school,” he shared during the Skechers Performance Run 2018 launch in Quezon City.The athletic celebrity said that he will be donning jersey #3 again in the upcoming Star Magic All Star Games where he will defend the title as captain of the Blue Team. “Ever since three na yung jersey number ko. Sa lahat ng mga liga na sinasalihan ko number three ako. Makikita mo sa lahat ng mga games number three talaga kahit bata pa ako. Idol ko si Allen Iverson eh. Siya talaga yung inspiration ko ung bakit ako nag-basketball so every time number three ako,” he explained.The Skechers Performance Run 2018 ambassador said he even got star struck upon meeting the ex-NBA star almost four years ago. “Sobrang idol ko yun. At nung pumunta siya dito sa Pinas, pumunta ako talaga. Pinuntahan ko siya. Naghintay talaga ako kasi gusto ko talaga makapag-pa-picture sa kanya. At sinabi ko sa kanya na idol ko siya. Fanboy ako nun sobra (laughs),” he recalled.
