Winning the genetics lottery isn’t enough. For seasoned actress Sunshine Cruz, putting in the extra effort to take good care of her body and health is just as important.

It isn’t surprising then to find that her take on the viral #10YearChallenge last Tuesday revealed a much younger-looking Sunshine Cruz today. At 41, the Wildflower star continues to wow for not seeming to have aged throughout the years – all owing to her life-changing moment to live an active lifestyle nearly six years ago.

“Sa mga nagtatanong po, since 2013, I changed my lifestyle. Dati po kasi crash diet lang ang ginagawa ko. I would sometimes starve myself and no exercise which is really bad,” she said.

For her workout routine, Sunshine shared that she prefers to incorporate different types of workouts, including boxing, spinning, Zumba, and, just lately, pound class.

“Plus, I’ve been eating healthy. I still have cheat days though. Every weekend kinakain ko ang mga gusto ko. I don’t deprive myself sa mga cravings ko twice a week,” she said.

All her hard work paid off when Sunshine, in summer of 2018, was chosen to headline Century Tuna’s Ageless Campaign together with colleagues and fellow fitness enthusiasts Ina Raymundo and Alice Dixon. This, she said, pushed her to up her fitness game as part of her resolution this year.

“This 2019, I will strive to better myself not just for the people I care about but also for those people who follow me, who I inspire and who believe in the way that I live my life. Family, friends and followers, let’s keep inspiring others by taking care of ourselves and by always living our lives to the fullest all for His greater glory! I am so excited for 2019!,” she said.
