Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha may be a respected artist, but she admits she has already encountered several rude audience members in many of her shows throughout the span of her successful career as a singer.

“Na-experience ko naman talaga yun,” she said during the presscon for her upcoming ACES concert alongside Darren Espanto and Jona held at the Dolce Latte cafe in Quezon City.

Likewise, the entertainment press asked the OPM icon as to how she reacts in such situations—a question which stemmed from a cursing incident involving JK Labajo over two weeks ago. To which she responded: “Wala. Ganun talaga, eh.”

Admitting that an attendee of one of her shows once shouted the name of Regine Velasquez while she was performing on stage, Lani Misalucha said she would rather let go of the situation than call out the person to avoid more fuss.

“No. Kasi parang ano lang ‘yan, parang sa social media ka, may mga bashers,” she said. She then went on: “Alangan naman i-reprimand mo. Hindi, e, mas lalo pang lalaki.”

Sharing other similar experiences in the past, she stated: “Actually, nasa banda pa ako nun. Meron sa audience na mga hambog. Siyempre banda ako, di ba? Meron sa audience, maliit na lugar lang yun, e. Tiny lounge, tapos kumakanta kayo ng banda mo, tapos biglang paghihikaban ka.”

“Parang, ‘Ano ba ‘yan?’ As in malakas, kasi ang liit-liit lang ng lugar. Maraming mga ganu’ng ano. Tapos meron namang talagang nagdadaldalan sila, talagang nananadya. Alam mo yun,” she added.

Apparently, she has also experienced the same unpleasant circumstances overseas.

“Meron din sa Amerika. Kasi sa audience siya, parang hindi talaga siya pumapalakpak. I don’t know kung ano yung ginagawa ko, I don’t know kung ano… basta ending, tumayo naman siya,” the 46-year-old singer said.

Meanwhile, Lani Misalucha is set to hold her third ACES show alongside Darren Espanto and Jona following two successful legs in Davao and Cebu.

ACES at the Big Dome is happening on March 30, 2019.
